If your the student of computer science then you will aware from microprocessor it is one of difficult subject to understand. If you sereaching for its notes then it will be good place for you becuase i made some not of it. If you think it is better for you you can download it.
ARCHIETECTURE OF 8086
MICROPROCESSOR 8086 (Notes)
The microprocessor 8086 was developed by Intel in 1978 with the following future
1) Single +5v power supply
2) Clock speed range of 5-10 Mhz
3) Capable of executing about 0.33 MIPS (Million Instruction Per Second)
4) A 16 bit processor which means that is arithmetic logic unit, internal register and most of the instruction are designed to work with 16bit binary words.
5) A 20 bit address bus and hence can directly address 2/20 (1M byte) memory location.
6) It supports pipeline architecture and has two parallel processor that is the Bus Interface Unit and Execution Unit
7) It works in two modes the minimum mode and maximum mode
1) Minimum mode : where the 8086 is the only processor in the microprocessor based system
2) Maximum mode : where than one processor share the buses.
